• Teacher at the “ISSEP” since 1985 where I taught courses related to
theories and practices of handball and physical preparation and training
at the undergraduate level, and a number of theoretical and applied
courses at the Master’s degree level.
• I have designed and given a number of courses related to high level
training in handball, basketball, and football.
• I have supervised more than 100 research papers at the undergraduate
level, 30 MA theses, and 21 Ph.D. theses.
• I took part in numerous conferences, colloquia, and training seminars
both at the local and international levels.
• I was principal investigator in a number of research projects and studies
(technical analysis of 24 teams participating in the 2005 world handball
championship in Tunis; auditing sports promotion centers in Tunisia;
setting anthropometric and physiological criteria for the detection of
potential athletes) both on the national level and in collaboration with
international institutions.
• In my current tenure as director of the National Sports Observatory, I
have ordered and supervised the establishment of an intranet and a web
site for the observatory, built and equipped a research library, produced a
film on the health benefits of sports and another one on jogging and
jogging paths, and elaborated plans for an international congress on
‘Sports and Health for All’ in partnership with the World Health
Organization and UNICEF.

• I have also participated in televised programs and debates on sports and
represented Tunisia in the Maghreb Congress on Training Sciences and
Methods in Sports, Rabat 2005.
Professional Training Experience:
• Trainer of handball (3rd. degree) since 1983.
• Head coach of the Tunisian national handball A-team (World
Championships in Kumamoto, Japan-1997 and the Mediterranean
Games in BARI-1997).
• I have also trained several handball A-teams in Tunisia, and “Al-Ahly”
team of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Languages: Proficient in Arabic, French, English and Russian.
Computer Skills:
• Excellent computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SPSS);
• Mastery of experimental and multidimensional testing equipment;

preparation of high level handball players.
